Not everyone knows that Gojek is a popular app and platform that can order food, make digital payment, provide transportation by using motorbike ride-sharing and more in Indonesia. It was founded by Nadiem Makarim, Kevin Aluwi and Michaelangelo Moran in 2009. Therefore, It developed an app in 2015 for the users and now is the wide technology that consumers use. Below, we will explain how Gojek was started :

1. History of Gojek

The Gojek idea comes from “Ojek” which is a motorcycle that was found in Indonesia. It was founded by Nadiem Makarim who found out that most of the drivers need to waste their time by looking for customers while customers need to find an “Ojek” to drive them to the location that they want to go. So, he developed Gojek by offering the customers and drivers a platform which they can contact each other by using it and enhance the drivers business. 

2. Business Sales 

Gojek has become popular and successful in both online and offline business in Indonesia. There are more than 155 million users who have downloaded the application to use on their mobile devices. Therefore, it has earned USD 2 billion in 2019.

3. User Experience 

Gojek would provide promotions to the users like they can get how many discounts when they have a ride using its apps. Also, it offers lifestyle services to the users such as beauty, massage and housekeeping in Indonesia on their application. It may help to improve the customers or users experience.
